Internet Explorer is not supported by Design Library

The last version of Internet Explorer, version 11, was released on October 17, 2013. This is a very long time ago when taking into account the rapid development of web technologies. These days it is often difficult and time consuming to get modern technologies to work well in this old browser. More and more frameworks are dropping support, and even Microsoft themselves has announced that they will fully drop support for IE in their own services in 2021.

Consequently, we have decided to not include support for IE in the Design Library website.

Luckily, there are modern options in active development. Please use Firefox, Edge or Chrome instead.

Visual design thinking

Visual design thinking

This chapter aims to give guidance on how to think when creating visual design for our brand. The visual aspect of design presents unique, fundamental and crucial tools in creating relevant, useful and inspiring products.

1. Keep it together

At the base of all our design lies some fundamental visual elements that makes up the visual expression of SEB.

2. Design for a purpose

For design to be impactful it needs to fulfil a purpose. The purpose should answer the question: what do we want to achieve with this product that we are designing?

3. Lead the way

Design guides people through the in's and out's of our products.

4. Don't simplify, make it simple

We always aim for presenting the complex in a simple and approachable way. This is a key aspect of any successful design.

5. Progress and evolve

Be brave, challenge your design and push boundaries!
